Spitalfields Market Find: Festival Specs
November 27, 2012 § Leave a comment
I skipped my usual lazy Sunday routine and headed to Spitalfields market. And just as many times before, I managed to find a few memorable pieces I though might be worth adding to My Fashion Wish List. This blog post is dedicated to the first one of my finds.
Close yours eyes for a second and think back to the last festival you went to. Forget the mud, rain and cold (at least that’s what my last festival was like) and concentrate on remembering the atmosphere. Yes, that hippie-like feeling of freedom and community is exactly what I’m talking about. And apart from peace signs, colours, flowers and tie dyed clothes, one of the most common hippie attributes was a pair of colourful round glasses. Hence it makes perfect sense why these 70’s hippie inspired glasses go under the name Festival Specks. Apart from being a perfect 21st century festival accessory that is!
Yet you don’t have to limit yourself to wearing them to festival outings. In fact thanks to 6 interchangeable colourful lenses that have UV protection and all come packaged neatly in a rubber pouch (£25) you can adapt them to suit a wide range of outfits. And don’t worry, changing the lenses is an easy task, despite them being very secure once they are on! All in all, Festival Specks are definitely a My Fashion Wish List worthy goodie – why not check them out online here? Yes, you don’t have to go to Spitalfields (all my international readers rejoice) to get your hands on a pair!
