Elsie

Chloe Elsie bags are not new. Yet with the latest new season additions of new colours and fabrics the bags became more desirable than ever before. And while it is hard to compete with the famous Chloe Paddington, I can see this range sticking around the IT-bag category for a while.
My favourite is by far a black python shoulder bag retailing at £1500 (left on the picture). It is absolutely timeless and the rose gold hardware, which is currently used by many hot designers is to die for. Yet if you prefer a more colourful bags to suit the seasons obsession with colour, there are various multicoloured version of python material available – reds, greens, blues – it is all up to you.
And of course if you prefer a day bag that fits all your essentials and more you can opt for a classic satchel which retains the elaborate Elsie closure and comes in 3 sizes and retails for £790-880 (right on the picture).
If we can take celebrity following as an indicator of the success of the bag, here are a few names that have been seen carrying an Elsie on more than one occasion: Leighton Meester, Sienna Miller, Kelly Rowland and Olivia Palermo. I don’t know how about you but I am convinced Elsie is hot and deserves a place on my fashion wish list!
Victoria by Victoria Beckham: Fresh and Exciting
January 31, 2012 § 1 Comment
Victoria Beckham has over the years grown into quite a fashion mogul. And just as many successful high end brands (think Prada and Miu Miu, Dolce and Gabanna and D&G) she created a more affordable sister brand Victoria by Victoria Beckham. Indeed the line is not just chronologically younger but is made for a younger audience too: it is girly and sweet with turned down sex appeal compared to the main Victoria Beckham brand.
The Scallop dress above from Spring/Summer 12 collection represents the line very well and hense is loved by celebrities: Victoria Beckham herself, Michelle Williams and Celine Buckens (actress from War Horse, soon to be big) have all picked it for a public outing. And while I love Michelle’s and Celine’s accessories that keep the girly theme going, it’s Victoria herself who in my opinion wears it the best – with tougher platform heels and a bag to match. However you style it, this dress is My Fashion Wish List-worthy, and so is a lot of items in the collection. Victoria has indeed done well – time to add her career to my wish list.
The dress is yours for £595, who said Victoria Beckham’s ‘affordable’ means the same thing to us?
Forget Skinnies – Everyone Is Rolling Up!
December 17, 2011 § 17 Comments
Sarah Jessica Parker, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and Ashley Olsen are just a few celebrities that love rolled up jeans (or cuffed jeans if you prefer). But no one loves them as much as Rachel Bilson (above). She has rarely been seen without a pair on – from glamourous events when she matches them with stilettos, to a day out and about town wearing them with more casual yet still heeled shoes.
And that is the new perfect jeans recipe – boyfriend shape, rolled up sometimes distressed but always with heels as rolled up jeans can make your legs look shorter and that must be avoided, especially by the pear shaped girls!
So here is a selection of rolled up jeans I love (excuse the styling) to satisfy any budget and all from ASOS. Order by Monday to receive it before Christmas with standard delivery.
1. Rich Vintage Boyfriend Jeans £35 now £24.50
2. Wrangler Denim Chino in Light Denim was £85 now £45
3. MiH Halsy Vintage 90s Fit Jeans £140
4. Current/Elliot Boyfriend Loved Jeans £220
Are you getting on board with the trend?
Zuhair Murad Holiday Selection
December 10, 2011 § 1 Comment
I absolutely adore Zuhair Murad creations. And so do a lot of celebrities. Above Miley Cyrus chose it for Oscars, Blake Lively was wearing it on set of Gossip Girl and Katy Perry (a big fan who has been seen in Zuhair Murad on numerous occasions) for Vanity Fair Party.
So if you want to make your celebration this winter very special, it is an obvious go to designer – you would sparkle and shine and for sure feel like an A-lister. Of course this does not come cheap – dresses start from £3500. So yes, for most of us those dresses will be unattainable, but hey, it doesn’t mean we can’t dream (or use them as inspiration for finding similar styles at more affordable prices).
The three dresses above are from Zuhair Murad range available at Harrods:
1. Angel Lace Gown, £5650
2. Beaded Shift Dress, £4025
3. Velvet Sequin Dress, £4125
Velvet, lace, beads and sequin are the top features of Zuhair Murad dresses this season – are they in your holiday wardrobe?
Olivia Palermo Style For You

Who does not love Olivia Palermo? This young, beautiful and oh-so-fashionable New York socialite took the world by storm to become the hottest entry in every best dressed list. Everyone wants to be her, let alone dress like her. That is why it is so terribly exciting that Olivia has edited Topshop holiday season collection to select the items she absolutely loves. And now we get to buy them knowing we got the approval of Miss Palermo herself.
Above are a just a few items from her selection that I absolutely love:
Purple Velvet Harness Corset, £30. Planet Flared Heel Platform Moccasins, £95. Floppy Boy Fedora, £25. Half Moon Cross Body Bag, £28. Knitted Gold Beaded Dress, £110. Possess Studded Ankle Boots, £150.

Shoe Collection by Rachel Bilson
December 4, 2011 § 3 Comments
My favourite The OC actress has gained a designer status. For a few years now Rachel Bilson was on every best dressed list and finally she is putting her fashion knowledge into creating a shoe line.
But this project is different: the process of purchasing is not what you are used too. To access the online shop you have to fill in a questionnaire that determines your style. But do not worry, it is easy – all you have to do is decide what picture is more ‘you’ and after less than a minute you are on the results page. Here is where you can shop the shoe range – but not all results are shown, only those that suit your style.
This interesting concept is already adopted by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen T-shirt line, Jessica Simpson Beauty range and soon to be adopted by our own Cheryl Cole – she is unveiling her shoe collection on 6th December (more of which in the later blog post). I am not 100% sure I am ready to shop only the pre-selected range, but nevertheless I am ready to give it a go.
Above is my favourite shoe from the collection – The Pauline in Wine Suede. And the price – $79.99 (about £50).

Not Your Usual Skinny Jeans
November 29, 2011 § 2 Comments

It is cold outside and I bet many of you ditched the skirts and resort to your favourite skinnies on daily basis. But I’m here to remind you that wearing jeans should not be mundane and boring – especially not this season!
Topshop is leading the fashion pack of high street retailers by spoiling you for choice: not only are there different colours to choose from, Topshop has been playing with textures hence you can get oh-so-fabulous wet look jeans or even a shiny coated ones!
Here is my top three pairs of jeans by Moto at Topshop you have to add to your wardrobe to spice up your winter (pictured above):
1. Moto Wet Look Coated Skinny Jeans in Burgundy, £40
2. Moto Gem Studded Skinny Jeans in Ecru, £70
3. Moto Coated Leigh Skinny Jeans in Pink, £50 (worn by Amelia Lily on Saturday’s X Factor – love that girl and love matching jeans to hair colour)
Let’s not fall into wearing mundane clothes! ‘Break the mold!’ (As the VO5 adverts state, about hair styling products in their case, but applicable here nevertheless, I hope).
But if you are not ready to step out in colour (I am not judging, maybe next winter?) here is some advise on your more conventionally coloured skinnies. For indigo/black/grey jeans from high street have a look around River Island. I have never been a big fan of their denim collections until recently, but now my wardrobe is filled with multiple colour version of the same style – it just fits right!

Shoe Collection by Cheryl Cole
December 6, 2011 § 1 Comment
I was very excited – I absolutely adore Cheryl and her style. I love how she inspired the nation to follow her Big Hair trend, how she changed her look recently to appear more modern by dying he locks honey blond and cutting them short, how she dresses up her petite figure and can pull of anything, I bet even a potato sack.
BUT when I actually saw the collection I was quite disappointed – I expected the glitz and the glamour since that is what people love about Cheryl and want to get a piece of in day to day life. I also expected something unique and extraordinary like Cheryl herself – there is only one national sweetheart and buying a shoe which is marketed as a piece of Cheryl should feel special. But most importantly I expected the quality: if I was Cheryl I would not put my name on anything that did not look well made, and frankly the shoes don’t.
The collection has a few party shoes, the ones above Glam Slam Disco Ball actually make models feet look over-sized due to thin straps and thick heel and platform. A few Autumn/Winter shoe boots are also present but I’m not a fan: I can see that Freak Le Chic boots were inspired by Prada, but I can not imagine the Black and Red strap boots looking good with anything. The only shoes that are worth checking out are Byker Groove Mucky Puppy Boot in brown and T.L.C. flat boots with cuff detail. Those would be good for trip to the country side or to add to your weekend wardrobe, but this is not the designs Cheryl should be promoting – this is her off duty look and hardly many people want to buy Cheryl Cole boots they will wear in their garden.
And the last negative point goes out to people who came up with names of the boots. Funky Munky, Hot to Trot and Your Royal Hotness are just some of the examples of outrageously cheap sounding names. In my eyes a shoe collection by Cheryl should be more classy than that!
So altogether a massive disappointment. My message to Cheryl: we still love you but please next time try collaborating with someone who really understands what image you should be projecting.
Go see it for yourself at stylistpick.com.
End of rant.
