The It Bag From High Street
November 22, 2011 § Leave a comment
And it is not just a high street bag that looks like an It bag, it is an It bag in its own right. This Zara Shopper made a big entrance this summer – simple and spacious it attracted a big following straight away, including Olivia Palermo who has a few in different colours. (Olivia Palermo is my ultimate style crush especially as she is not afraid to add some high street into her outfit. Love it and do it!)
And now the bag is back on sale in a more wintery hue. Get a leather one in brown, black or petrol blue, or try a leather and felt mix in grey and black. Starting from £79.99 this is probably the cheapest It bag you can get your hands on, as yet the quality will not make you regret your decision. And if you have your heart set on it, hurry up, it will not be around for long (the black crocodile print bag is already sold out)!
House Of Dereon Lands in UK
November 21, 2011 § Leave a comment
No, I am not talking about flying houses like the one in the cartoon UP. House of Dereon is an American brand established in 2004 by famous singer Beyonce and her mother Tina Knowles (known for styling Beyonce and other members on Destiny’s Child) and now it is finally available in our country.
The brand is intergenerationally inspired – Beyonce acts as a muse, Tina Knowles as a designer and her late mother Agnes Dereon who worked as a seamstress and dressmaker in Louisiana as an inspiration. Targeting 20-30 year old fashionable women (that is their own positioning, I on the other hand do not believe that fashion needs to be age-specific) the brand provides a range of sexy dresses and other outfits that would make your fashion choices for a night out on the town easy.
In my opinion even if House of Dereon was not Beyonce-related I would love the collection. It is feminine and definitely sexy – who would not want a piece from their collection, especially now that we are all thinking about holiday season outfits?
Above are two of my favourite dresses from the collection: Shimmer Strap Bodycon Dress in Gold £90-£100 and Assymetric Mini Dress £80. I would also like to add sequin pieces from the collection to my wishlist: I love waterfall blazer (£110) and a wrap front skirt (£75) especially since both come in a choice of black and gold colours. See the whole range in the special concession at London Selfridges, online at http://www.selfridges.com and http://www.lipsy.com.
Little tip, if you are shopping online try Lipsy as the prices are up to 10% lower and you will be able to get free delivery on orders over £75 with a special code: AW11SHIPPING but not all items are available at both e-locations.
The Must-Have Want-Now Can’t-Live Without Shoes
November 18, 2011 § 2 Comments
Kandee Shoes. If you haven’t yet heard of them – learn this name.
Established in 2010 the aim of the designer Josh Wayman (who is 21 years old by the way, massive oh my god moment) is to create eye-candy shoes, which he has succeeded at doing – every pair is delicious and absolutely fabulous. The brand already has a large celebrity following: Cheryl Cole, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Victoria Beckham to name a few. But even though A-listers wear it – the shoes are still accessible (price wise) for the high street lovers.
So ladies, time to add a new name to the wishlist. And a new pair of shoes to our shoe closet (you will probably end up with more though, they are irresistible). Go to http://www.kandeeshoes.com to see the full range.
Not Your Ordinary Sweater
November 18, 2011 § Leave a comment
To tell you the truth me and sweaters do not usually get along. I have to be in a special mood to go anywhere near a chunky knit. That is stuck on a snowy mountain or in the middle of a forest, which, lets face it not my day to day environment.
And yet after I have seen those beauties above I suddenly came up with a million and one reasons to wear them and where to wear them to. Indeed Bitching & Junkfood Jumpers are not your usual jumpers – no grandma patters or yucky colours. Those jumpers are creative, fashionable and will make you stand out like a peacock in the barn. Which is obviously what you want to do when its grey and miserable outside. Thank you Bitching & Junkfood for not letting wintery blues hide your creativity!

Versace for H&M: First Hand Report
November 17, 2011 § 2 Comments

There is no better way to judge garments but by experiencing them first hand – touching the material, seeing the intricate details and of course trying it on. That does not mean I am not a very loyal online shopper, but there is nothing like fist hand experience.
As my previous blog post on Versace for H&M was compiled based on online information only I decided it was important to share my first hand experience of the garments after visiting H&M this morning.
First of all let me note that the organisation of the launch in Oxford Street stores and Selfridges was great: wristbands with allotted times of 10 minutes to view the collection and pick your items made sure the horrific shopping experience of overcrowding and stampedes was avoided.
Now to the collection itself: vivid colours, wild prints, tight fitting dresses, leather and studs were the things I expected to see. But what surpasses my expectation is the quality. All the leather goods feel incredible – there is real luxury in all the items. Pelle Borchie leather jacket which made it to my wishlist was better than I expected and the price just did not seem right – it would be hard to find the same quality for the same price anywhere. As for the dresses: Bottoni Oro range fits exactly like any Versace dress would – figure hugging with the right highlighting of curves in all the right places. And another sets of items which I absolutely loved – silk scarves in very colourful Versace prints for just £24.99. A great way to get yourself a piece from the collection if you are on the budget! Plus the colours make it a great choice for grey autumn as it is all you need to add a splash of colour to your outfit.
Needless to say I walked out with more than I expected but do not regret it – great quality and classic design is hard to find for this price.
So to all those who have already experience the collection – I hope you agree with my report. To those that haven’t – run, there won’t be much left after lunch time. And to those who are stuck in the office and have to resort to online shopping – good luck getting through to the website as due to the large number of visitors to avoid crashing it only lets a selected number shop the collection at the same time.
The Royal Tulisa
November 16, 2011 § Leave a comment

Tulisa Contostavlos, one of this years new X-Factor judges, is nowadays unrecognisable. Long gone is the urban hip hop band member attitude and with that the corresponding fashion choices. Now this young lady is dressed impeccably and gives fellow judge Kelly Rowland run for her money.
And one thing Tulisa is doing to up her fashion credit (as in direct opposite to street credit) is choosing the right designers to be associated with. This week everyone is talking about her loyalty to Bruce Oldfield, whose stunning creations she worn twice on the show. Let me tell you, when you wear a dress like that you are not just wearing a dress, you project the vision of the designer and the symbolism of his creations. And Bruce Oldfield comes with a lot of symbolism as his dresses have been worn by Royals from all around the world (including the Queen herself) and happy brides on their biggest day in their life (the bridal collection is to die for, go to http://www.bruceoldfield.com/bridal/range/couture and indulge your hidden desires to be a bride, whether or not it is on the cards in the near future).
Back to the lady of the hour – she doesn’t just look stunning, she looks magnificently royal without letting us forget that she is young and sexy. So if you are asking yourself how is this connected to My Fashion Wishlist, here is the answer – I want to look stunning, magnificently royal and sexy at the same time, too. So Bruce Oldfield Couture is right on my wishlist!
Versace for H&M

I love H&M designer collaborations and simply can not wait for the release of Versace for H&M this Thursday 17th November. The collection is true to the designer – captivating prints, vivid colours, curve hugging dresses and gold studs. And while I might want to get my hands on the whole range, here are my top 3 buys:
1. Frange Green Silk dress, £99. It is fun and colourful and so Versace. And thus is it a perfect solution for winter blues.
2. Pelle Borchie Leather Jacket, £179. Because it would be cool even if it was not designed by Versace.
3. Bottoni Oro Red Floor Length Dress, £149.99. The name says it all. Every girl needs a sexy red dress in her wardrobe and that thigh high split guarantees sex appeal.
Get ready to snap up the items online and in selected H&M stores from 9am on the day.
Christian Louboutin: Items To Die For
November 14, 2011 § Leave a comment
Christian Louboutin never ceases to amuse the world with his creativity. And even when he is engulfed in the law suit with YSL over the red soles, or because of it, he still designs pieces that will go down in the history of fashion. The best part – you can own a bit of it yourself.
Like the Artemis Studded Python Shoulder bag above (£1,345) is the epitome of creativity as it combines an edgy evening bag with a jeweled studded shoulder pad. Magnificence is in the simplicity of the idea. And what I like the most is that unlike most other creative top of the range evening bags (think of Stella McCartney Oval Plexiglass bag) this one is actually a bag i.e. it can carry all your evening essentials.
And secondly there is a fantastic Alex Paw Shoe that looks like, you guessed it, a paw from the front and is supported by beautiful Swarovski heel. Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted wearing those to the last months premier of I Don’t Know How She Does It in Moscow while Blake Lively strolled around New York in them this weekend. And even if it was not for the celebrity endorsement, I would still be dying to have a pair of those crazy creative shoes. But unlike celebrities we have to wait for them to come on sale and to find out the price.
Cinderella?
November 9, 2011 § Leave a comment
Christmas is just around the corner and everyone is looking for a right pair of shoes to wear to the celebrations. This season the shoe trend is perfect – look no further than Cinderella-inspired glitter pair.
While the trend originated with Miu Miu and shoes like the Glitter and Suede Ankle Boots above (£555) there are various great options available on High Street. My favourite of which is the Carvela Grass Wedge (£150) that I will be definitely adding to my shoe closet.
My advice would be to style the outfit down by wearing a single-colour dress, but do not be afraid to experiment with different textures and structures. After all you will be wearing that to a Christmas party and hence would like to stand out as much as possible. Just go for it – every girl dreams of being a Cinderella for a night!
Current Jewellery Obsession 2: Tatty Devine
November 8, 2011 § Leave a comment
Tatty Devine oozes cool. A grassroot DIY company that is quickly becoming a world wide brand based on unlimited creative power – there is hardly a cooler success story. And most of the jewellery is still handmade in Britain (as has been since the beginning in 1999). So its cool and British. Even better.
I love the customisable Perspex name (nickname, favourite book, place etc – just use your imagination) necklaces – a modern twist to Carrie Bradshaw’s Carrie necklace. And if you want to add a cheeky twist to your look why not try cartoon eyes pair rings(£30)? And if that is not enough and since it is M(N)ovember and hardly any of us (females) can boast of being able to grow our own moustache why not support the male activists by wearing a wooden one on a chain? £27 is a low price to pay for men’s health awareness.
Purchase a piece of Tatty Devine coolness as their boutiques on Brick Lane and Covent Garden or online at http://www.tattydevine.com.
